2007 has been a great year so far for Trade Bridge International . Our membership has soared to 4000+ US SME importers and exporters and we're confident that makes us the premier organization in the US representing this SME segment. Sorry about that...segment sounds so cold and impersonal. This "segment" is a thriving, vital group of SME business people and entrepreneurs that are engaged, innovative and creative problem solvers when given the platform to spring from. TBI is honored to be representing these important engines of the US and World economies.
With the growth in our membership we have added two new staff people: Maria Martinez, Membership Sales Coordinator and Jennifer Freund, Membership Outreach. Welcome to both of you.
In May, Trade Bridge began its outreach to exporters by sponsoring both the Department of Commerce's Trade Winds Forum and World Trade Week New York City. Both event gave us an opportunity to educate exporters about the benefits of TBI membership.
Our biggest accomplishment to date was the simultaneous seminar-webinar on June 7th featuring Richard DiNucci, Program Director for CBP's Security Filing (10+2). If you missed it we have the presentations and Q & A posted here .
Looking back on our short history and reviewing the archives I came across the urgent message our friend Steve Whitaker wrote when we were starting up. So to quote Steve, " Join the Herd. Unify the Message. Tell it on the Hill ."
